Zeus found his home with Amy in 2009 at the King County Animal Shelter. He wasn't just a family pet – he was an athlete who competed in 5K races, swam across Green Lake towing his human, and explored coastlines from the Pacific to the Atlantic. More importantly, he was a natural leader among dogs, helping countless foster puppies gain confidence and showing remarkable patience with senior dogs.

His impact went beyond the dog community. During Amy's battle with cancer, Zeus became her dedicated partner in recovery, from accompanying her through chemotherapy treatments to ensuring she maintained daily walks during rehabilitation. Their connection exemplified the profound support dogs provide during life's toughest moments.

After Zeus's passing in December 2023, Amy transformed their backyard into a space where other dogs could experience the same freedom and joy Zeus had. Now available on Rome, Zeus's Yard offers a secure, private environment for Seattle dogs to play and explore.
